Ensuring Fair Housing During the COVID-19 Pandemic
COVID-19 has upended life in the United States since the virus hit the nation early this spring, devastating families, communities, and businesses across the country. Since March 2020, nearly 160,000 people have died, and sophisticated models predict an eighty-six percent increase in that death toll by December 2020 in the United States alone.

Law Standardization Needed to Prevent Housing Voucher Discrimination
The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development created Housing Choice Vouchers to assist low-income, disabled and elderly individuals find housing in the private market. But although vouchers are a federally recognized, legitimate source of income, voucher recipients often face hurdles in search of housing: landlords are often reluctant to accept vouchers as payment, either rejecting the vouchers outright or making excuses to prospective tenants.
